Google Ads Report – Modern Hearth (2026-08)

The Basics

August brought in 14,768 clicks and about 73 conversions from $10,650.82 in ad spend. Your ads appeared 927.9K times. Compared with July, clicks were almost unchanged, but conversions fell 16% despite spending only 1.16% less.

The main challenge was getting more from the traffic already reaching your site. Tracked conversion value fell 23% to $25,421.07, or about $2.39 in value for every $1 spent on ads.

Key Metrics

  • Impressions: 927.9K (+11%)
  • Clicks: 14,768 (+0.44%)
  • Conversions: 72.96 (-16%)
  • Conversion rate: 0.47% (-19%)
  • Cost per conversion: $145.99 (+17%)
  • Total spend: $10,650.82 (-1.16%)
  • Tracked conversion value: $25,421.07 (-23%)

The Highlights

Steady traffic produced fewer conversions. The conversion rate fell 19%, while spending stayed close to July’s level. That left your budget covering fewer conversions and pushed the cost of each one up 17%.

The catalog campaigns produced very different results. Full Catalog Performance Max and Query Mining drew similar click volumes, but Performance Max generated most of the conversions. That makes the split between these campaigns worth a closer look before deciding how to shift budget.

Conversions weakened late in the month. The daily chart shows several days with almost no conversions in the final week, even though clicks continued. We generally see a decline in conversion activity at the end of August because of “back to school” so it will be important to see if Septemer recovers.

What We Recommend

  • Review how your budget is split between the catalog campaigns. We are taking a look at cost per conversion and tracked value per dollar for Full Catalog Performance Max and Query Mining. That will help us assess whether shifting spend could improve results, rather than judging the campaigns on clicks alone.
  • Investigate the late-August drop. We will review daily results around August 26-30 alongside any website, product availability, or tracking changes. We want to better understand why clicks continued while conversions nearly stopped, and whether that pattern carried into September.
  • Identify which products lost conversion value. We recommend comparing product results with July to see where the decline was concentrated. That would help us decide whether to focus on recovering conversion volume or improving the value of the conversions your ads generate.

Looking ahead to next month, we’ll take a closer look at the catalog campaign split and the late-August conversion drop. That should give us a clearer basis for deciding where to focus your budget.
