SEO Report – Modern Hearth (2026-08)
September 17, 2026 by Red Clay Creative
The Basics
August 2026 improved on July mainly through a higher share of search appearances turning into clicks, rather than a large increase in visibility. That’s encouraging for bringing people to your website, but the report doesn’t include purchases or revenue, so it doesn’t establish a sales impact.
Key Metrics
- Google Search clicks: 483, up 45% from July.
- Impressions: 63,973, up 3.89%.
- Click-through rate: 0.76%, up 41%.
- Average Google Search position: 27.1.
The Highlights
Specific searches contributed to the increase. In the query table, “apk15” delivered 40 clicks, up 300%, and “modern hearth” delivered 20, also up 300%. The branded query’s impressions were unchanged, so its improvement came from more clicks on the same number of appearances.
Broader category rankings still have room to improve. The tracking chart finished at 31 rankings, unchanged from July, with most in positions 21–50. On page 3, “creosote brush” ranked 10th, while “fireplace rugs” and “fireplace rug” ranked 16th and 20th, making them closer to the top 10 than “hearth rugs” at 27th.
The AI snapshot reports 0% visibility. Displayed examples include “Best chimney caps” on Claude and “Best online fireplace store” on Gemini, both marked “Not Visible.” These finding apply to the tracked samples, not every AI answer about your products. We may want to adjust this list of AI queries to more specific responses you want to appear in AI searches.
What We Recommend
- Prioritize searches closest to the top 10. We recommend reviewing the pages ranking for “creosote brush” and fireplace-rug searches first, checking whether titles, product details, and internal links clearly match those searches.
- Review what drove the extra clicks. We will compare query-level click-through changes and the pages receiving “apk15” traffic, keeping brand searches separate. This will help us choose where to test titles or descriptions without assuming why August improved.
- Address tracked buying questions. We recommend reviewing existing content against questions such as “Best chimney caps,” then adding clear selection criteria, verified product details, and links to relevant products where information is missing.
Looking ahead to next month, we recommend focusing on those near-top-ten searches and checking whether stronger click-through rates continue. That will help us decide which page improvements deserve priority and whether growth is reaching a wider range of searches.
