Key Metrics
- Impressions: 5,177, up 0.76%
- Clicks: 376, up 8.05%
- Conversions: 59.93, up 39%
- Conversion rate: 15.94%, up 29%
- Cost per conversion: $23.37, down 28%
- Total spend: $1,400.33, up 0.01%
The Highlights
Your budget produced more conversions without a meaningful increase in cost. The 39% increase in conversions, paired with nearly flat spending, lowered the average cost per conversion to $23.37. This was the clearest improvement in September’s results.
A larger share of clicks resulted in conversions. Clicks increased 8.05%, but conversions grew much faster at 39%. The reported conversion rate reached 15.94%, up 29% from August, which explains why cost per conversion fell even though spending stayed at roughly the same level.
Four keywords generated about 40% of all clicks. “Dog daycare near me,” “dog training near me,” “reactive dog training dc,” and “dog boarding washington dc” produced 149 of the month’s 376 clicks. This shows where a meaningful portion of traffic came from, but we need to analyze keyword-level conversion data before deciding whether these keywords deserve more of your budget.
What We Recommend
- Review conversion performance for the highest-clicked keywords. We recommend comparing their conversions and costs, not just their click totals. That will show whether these high-traffic keywords are also producing conversions efficiently enough to support a budget shift.
- Compare September’s conversion gains across campaigns and conversion actions. Conversions rose much faster than clicks, so we want to identify which parts of the account contributed most to the increase and whether they represent the outcomes that matter most to your organization.
- Monitor whether the efficiency holds. We recommend tracking the conversion rate and cost per conversion against September’s 15.94% and $23.37 levels before broadening lower-volume keyword coverage. This will help protect the efficiency gained this month.
Looking ahead to next month, we’ll focus on where the conversion increase came from and how the highest-traffic keywords performed beyond clicks. That will give us a clearer basis for deciding where to focus your budget.
